The Takeaway
Major Themes: Writing, web design, “living on the web”, board game design, experience design, interactive storytelling / stories told interactively
Questions: Are there open questions or unexplored hunches? Is there a particular skill or medium you’d like to highlight, but aren’t able to with your existing projects?
Seems like I like to work with things online; there isn’t a single physical fabrication project (though I have made my own Halloween costume almost every single year)… But I like things that I can send to people online because often my family wants to see what I’m working on, or I’ll send it to my friend overseas. Also, I appear to like p5.js a lot (it’s a very easy interface and it writes similarly to Java, my first coding language). I think my three ideas outlined here each address my interests in different ways; the UI lesson plan relates to my interest in education, the ARG relates to interactive storytelling and puzzlesolving and design, and the Minecraft mod relates to my interest in video games and will hopefully open the door to many more mods to come.
