My thesis is coming along pretty well in my opinion, to be honest, and I was able to meet my goal of the semester. My goal was to finish masking for the player introduction, which I to this day have finished fully. Another is goal is to finish the player introduction which I will finish most likely by the end of Thanksgiving break. Even if I don’t finish by then, I will at least finish it by the end of the semester or a day or two into Christmas break. I also will have a trailer I’m going to make for it and present it at AIMM night so, I am absolutely going to finish that by the end of Thanksgiving break and have it ready. I have other ideas one that I am definitely doing and the other is depending on if we go back to school and covid basically. But, I am definitely still on track to get a nice break during Christmas break do some fun things that I want to try, and still be on track to where I want to be when we go back to school.
Hey Zane, glad to hear that your thesis is coming along quite nicely! I remember seeing some of your player introductions at the start of the semester and more recently, and I think they look great. I don’t know what you exactly have planned for your trailer, but I would imagine it would include some hyped up frisbee plays and music which would be cool. I also think it’s a good idea to showcase it during AIMM night, as it would give everyone a solid grasp of your thesis and what to expect in your final project. The one thing I would be aware of is how long the trailer is because I’m pretty sure we’ll only have about 90-120 seconds to present. That being said, I would suggest being cautious of its length so you are wise with your presentation time and answering questions. In terms of moving forward, you could also try to get more footage from recent games/skirmishes as a proper send off (if it’s safe of course). Overall, I think you’re on track with what you want to do and I can’t wait to see it when it’s finished.
